Chrysler Financial Staff Paints Their Hearts Out In Improving the Homes for Several Tustin Seniors
Tustin, Calif. – Volunteers from the Chrysler Financial Business Center in Irvine will be spending Thursday, July 27, painting, cleaning and doing light repairs on the homes of three senior Tustin residents in conjunction with Paint Your Heart Out Inc. (PYHO).
The women whose homes we are improving could not do any of this necessary work themselves, nor do they have the family or financial ability to complete it, Starr added.
"We are enormously proud of our new partnership," said Pam Starr, Executive Director. “By working together, Paint Your Heart Out and Chrysler Financial can shine a light on the solitary lives of low-income seniors and the disabled while providing a volunteer-driven solution to countering isolation for at-risk homeowners and neighborhood blight in the community.”
Some 60 volunteers from the Chrysler Financial business center in Irvine will be divided into three teams for the day-long projects. Included will be painting and scraping, replacing porch posts, repairing window and door screens, light plumbing repairs and general yard maintenance.
“ These kind of volunteer projects emanate from one of our company’s core values, a commitment to social responsibility” explained Jeffrey N. Peterson, Director – West Business Center for Chrysler Financial. “But more importantly, we’re committed to helping people who might not be able to do these kinds of things for themselves. “
