2007 Annual Senior Holiday Luncheon

“Monday December 10, 2007, Paint Your Heart Out, Inc. held its Annual Senior Holiday Luncheon at the Anaheim Community Center. Attendance tailed over 120 people ready to celebrate this joyous season. The luncheon is designed to spread some holiday cheer to former PYHO homeowner recipients, who were also joined by sponsors, team captains, area supervisors, Board of Directors and volunteers who make this whole project possible. During the past 17 years PYHO has refurbished 815 homes in the cities we serve all at no cost to our homeowners. Approximately 1500 community volunteers donate their time and sweat equity to do the work. The homeowners that attended were from the cities of Anaheim, Brea, Orange and Santa Ana, each of them being present and previous recipients of this grass roots organization. A turkey lunch with all the fixings was served. Entertainment was provided by local Anaheim resident Betty Burt on the piano. There was also a special “Nutcracker” performed by The Anaheim Ballet, under the direction of Larry Rosenfeld. This annual event is one looked forward to by all attendees; it was a wonder reason to get into the holiday spirit and to share it with others.”
